I continue to be impressed with the research we have regarding #NearDeathExperiences and who studies them. I also love reading what science has to say or “not say” about it.

Yes, I am a #spiritual being. And I have #faith. I also like tangible evidence. Especially when it can be proven. I believe the person on each extreme side of the belief spectrum is making a mistake. Having 100% faith is not a bad thing, but discounting science and its involvement in whatever act you are witnessing can be an issue if you want the entire truth. At the same time, a person who is atheist, only seeing a scientific explanation, but ignoring the “unexplainable” is making the same mistake. Not everything fits into a nice, neat box. #Outsideofthebox

It is why I gravitate to articles like the one attached on #EvidentialSpirituality . In it, the writer discusses a point with which I clearly agree.

“No one who studies life after death research will claim that there is scientific proof for the survival of death. Science is about measurement and currently there is no way to objectively measure experiences in the spirit world in the same way we measure temperature, electromagnetic waves, or gravity. On the other hand, science cannot disprove any spiritual experience, nor can it prove that consciousness does not survive death. Luckily, scientific proof is not the only way we evaluate truthfulness in our society. The best way to evaluate the evidence of life after death is through the standard of ‘Evidence beyond Reasonable Doubt’, which asks you to determine if a reasonable person, given all of the evidence, would agree with a particular conclusion. “

“Evidence beyond a reasonable doubt” is how our judicial system works. I admit they get it wrong sometimes, but for the most part, it is what our system uses as a proven model to uncover the truth. And a way everyone, from atheists to those of faith, can understand.

So do your research, learn from those reliable sources and draw your own conclusions with the evidence presented.
