The Doctors was an incredible experience. \u00a0Dr. Travis and Dr. Rachael Ross were professional, \u00a0warm and so caring. \u00a0The video<\/a> is definitely freaking me out. \u00a0It hits home a little too closely. \u00a0As painful as it is for me, I am acutely aware it is more painful for the families of those who have not survived or the women who have not survived as well as they would have liked. \u00a0And for that reason,\u00a0I will keep spreading the word and work to help keep our message out there.<\/p>\n

We don’t yet know what causes AFE (see explainer video\/photo below). \u00a0We don’t yet know who is more susceptible to getting it. \u00a0All we know is it is the second leading cause of maternal death in a country where maternal death seems to get so little notice. \u00a0We can change that. \u00a0The AFE Foundation<\/a> needs all of the support and help we can offer. \u00a0So please help us spread the word, talk about it and educate others. \u00a0You can help save lives.<\/p>\n

I would love to hear about the ways in which AFE or surviving a maternity complication has affected your life. \u00a0Please share those with me. \u00a0By telling our stories, hopefully we can all put an end to this horrific condition.<\/p>\n
