In a time where it seems there is violence and hatred everywhere, there are glimpses of “light” shining through. \u00a0I have noticed on my Facebook feed every few\u00a0postings, there are splashes of videos containing kind acts. \u00a0Something we are capable of doing & noticing, every single day. \u00a0Whether it is a man just being kind by buying someone their groceries or offering “Free Hugs” at the Boston Marathon to rescuing animals in precarious situations. \u00a0Or an entire plane full of people supporting a grandmother who was flying to pay her respects to her grandson who died in the Orlando shootings. \u00a0All of it is a reminder that there is kindness and caring and human\u00a0decency\u00a0in this world so wrought with trying times.<\/p>\n

I have been told over and over 2016 is the year of Spiritual Awakening. \u00a0Many friends and colleagues have told me they have been on a quest for self-growth. \u00a0Either with a weight loss program, a yoga retreat, quitting\u00a0their job and starting something new. \u00a0Something to kickstart their life into a different energetic arena. \u00a0All of their quests might not have originally turned out to be of a spiritual tone, but they sure turned out that way. \u00a0 I am also not immune to this transitional energy. \u00a0Yes, I survived after nearly losing my life permanently on the operating table. \u00a0And yes, I am forever changed by that experience. But that is not what I’m talking about here. \u00a0I had healing to do. And not just physically. \u00a0So what started out as necessary physical therapy in 2013\/14, turned into something quite different.<\/p>\n

When I decided to go through regression therapy, it was to connect the dots to the time I was missing while in the coma<\/a>. \u00a0Where was I physically? What was happening around me? What was my body going through while I lay there quietly? I could have never, in a million years, predicted it would enlighten me the way it did, (and I have predicted a lot of things). \u00a0This was something unforeseeable. \u00a0Which is probably why many tried to dissuade me from doing it, let alone record myself under hypnosis<\/a>. \u00a0I saw many things, including me on the operating table. \u00a0 But when I started to see spirits, that was a game changer and took me on an unexpected\u00a0path. \u00a0One that has been hard for me to accept until, ironically, this year.<\/p>\n

I recently read an article by Karen Spreckly on a website about this Year of the Soul<\/a>. She describes how “The last few years have given you many opportunities to embrace your true spirit, which has released you from old patterns and limitations. \u00a0Spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically you have healed, released, realigned, processed and purged over and over again. \u00a0It has been a monumental time of change..” she is hitting the nail on the head for me. And I know I am not alone<\/strong>. \u00a0My spiritual journey is leading me down one path, and yours might be taking you down a similar or polarized one. \u00a0But they are equally as important for our souls.<\/p>\n

These journeys are a necessity. \u00a0A feeling of unrest and a need to get to a state of “rest” for our spirit is imperative to make healthy decisions for ourselves and our loved ones. \u00a0To get our\u00a0souls in a place of great comfort, and to accept the challenges we all have in our daily lives, will allow us to be able to handle anything headed in our direction, including the world violence.<\/p>\n

Quieting things down\u00a0will help you make the right decisions for you and your family. \u00a0I do not believe this light goes and comes into our lives. \u00a0Those who have passed, who were closest to you, are there helping to guide you as best they can. \u00a0You just need to believe it to be true. \u00a0It might take a miracle for you to concretely believe it, (I hope not, because it would have saved me and my family a lot of heartache and grief, had I just believed with blind faith), but many incredible things are about to happen in this world, I can feel it all abuzz. The enlightenment will come in many forms and by preparing your intuitive side<\/a>, you will be able to feel and witness much more.<\/p>\n

According to one blogger<\/a>, she says “2016 will be the culmination of the \u201ccollective awareness\u201d as we walk in a state of harmony, with guardians of our spiritual connections, serving the greater good that joins us all with the highest intention, creating and shining our light. 2016 enters amidst an almost audible backdrop of trumpets and applause. It is a year where\u00a0miracles will be numerous\u00a0and the impossible is suddenly within reach<\/strong>.” \u00a0I couldn’t agree more.<\/p>\n

There will always be dark sides to everything. \u00a0You can always find that darkness. But focusing on the light and how that translates into you staying and breathing in your own enlightened heart, is up to you. \u00a0It will ultimately help with your spiritual journey\u00a0and how this year shapes up for you.<\/p>\n
