Rosalind, Steve and new baby Jonah<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It’s Thursday, January 9.\u00a0 As I am sitting in the hospital waiting room today waiting for my best friend Rosalind to give birth, I am acutely aware of how different the circumstances are here, compared to my childbirth 7 months ago.<\/p>\n

Rosalind’s c-section was scheduled.\u00a0 Her baby Jonah was kind enough to wait until her scheduled c-section to come into the world.\u00a0 Everything ran smoothly. Her husband Steve was there in the OR to help her nerves, and he was able to hold his baby immediately as was she.<\/span><\/p>\n

As I hold their new boy Jonah today, I realized I never got to hold my Jacob when he was this age – mere minutes old.\u00a0 I love my BFF Rosalind so much.<\/p>\n

When I was recovering in the hospital from <\/span>my complicated childbirth<\/a>, she came selflessly, 6 weeks pregnant herself at the time, to see to my needs.\u00a0 Naturally, I wanted to be there for her today, no matter how much\u00a0it pained me to see triage.\u00a0 I am so grateful to my BFF and to Steve, the man who has her heart.\u00a0 She is blessed to have a healthy 7 pound, 4 ounce baby boy and healing beautifully.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I love you my friend; Our boys Jacob & Jonah will get to grow up together.\u00a0 Thank G-d.<\/p>\n
