I had met Whitney a few months ago at an AFE Foundation fundraiser my friend had created. \u00a0\u00a0She said she had heard my story\u00a0and\u00a0then\u00a0asked \u00a0if I would\u00a0sit for an interview on\u00a0her show. \u00a0I said of course, but she had to read the book. \u00a0That was really the extent of our conversation. \u00a0Now here is where I get more confirmation that there are #NoCoincidences.<\/p>\n

The first connection I had to the show was when her producer called me to confirm the date and to also see what pictures and videos\u00a0I had for the show. Then we started talking about other things. \u00a0I found out that her niece, 18 years ago, had suffered an amniotic fluid embolism at the time of her delivery. \u00a0The baby survived. Unfortunately, mom\u00a0did not. \u00a0Another life stripped from a family in a blink of an eye. A very raw and emotional conversation ensued. \u00a0I was exactly in the right place and participating in the right show at the right time.<\/p>\n

Heartbroken on both of our ends, I just wanted to hug her. \u00a0And when we shot the show this week, I told her the AFE Foundation<\/a> and as long as moms are dying in childbirth, I will not stop talking about it. \u00a0Then I hugged her. \u00a0But the “coincidences” didn’t stop there.<\/p>\n

As I am walking in to the green room, Whitney stops me and\u00a0asks “Did you have your AFE in 2013?” \u00a0I said “Why?” \u00a0She said, “Well, I was talking to my best friend. And not my casual friend on Facebook. \u00a0My BFF, maid of honor at my wedding, best friend. And we were talking about what I was shooting on today’s show and I told her. \u00a0She then asked if you had your AFE in 2013 and I said I didn’t think so because you looked too good to be only 2 years out. So did you?” \u00a0I said “Thank you and yes, it was May 2013.”<\/p>\n

She then proceeded to tell me when she was on her honeymoon her BFF called her and said “You need to pray for this mom and her family. \u00a0She is going to die.” \u00a0I asked, “How did she even know me or my story?” Whitney answered “She was your ICU nurse.”<\/p>\n

I cried. #Nocoincidences<\/p>\n
