Thank you to the ASA. I hope this newsletter and the AD campaign that is about to launch will educate not only doctors as to how physician anesthesiologists save lives, but help patients understand what it is they actually do. My anesthesiologists are the reason I am here today. They are in charge of keeping you ALIVE in the operating room. And I am still astonished that we only meet them moments before our operation gets underway. Not only that, many people don’t realize that anesthesiologists are actually MD’s.
Since my AFE, I have made it a point to get to know my life savers. They are incredible doctors, but mostly, they are amazing people. I am honored to now call Dr. Grace Lim and Dr. Nicole Higgins, my friends.
Nicole and I have become such good friends, she is uncomfortable with me saying “Thank you” every time I see her. So I respect her wishes and converted the thank you’s into a F&%! you-s– and now she is HAPPY! Such high maintenance. 🙂
