My Sister, My Friend.

I was 8 years old when my sister, Michelle, got married and left us.

She is 12 years older than me and we never had that really close relationship that one would expect from sisters.  But given the age difference, I can’t blame her for not wanting to be with her very younger sister and take her out and be with her when she was a teenager.

When I called my father to tell him I was on my way to the hospital to give birth to my son Jacob, my father called my sister.  She will tell you she has no idea why, but she told her husband, Roy, there was something wrong and she needed to book a flight to Chicago immediately.

We didn’t speak about my premonitions a great deal.  My sister has always had premonitions, but we never gave them total credence.  For whatever reason, she had the same premonition I did and got on a plane.

It’s a good thing, because Roy and Michelle could be there as a shoulder for Jonathan to lean on in his desperate time of need, when he wasn’t talking to anyone about it.  He most certainly wouldn’t have called anyone to tell them to fly up.
When I woke up from my coma, I saw my husband.  And my sister.

She apparently was whispering in my ear every day to wake up, to be there for my family, that my husband needed me and the pain she felt for me was more real than anything we have ever discussed in our entire lifetime of knowing each other.

She has shared with me since then the premonitions she has had in the past, how important I am to her and how she is having some PTSD issues since we came out of this turmoil TOGETHER.

I could never repay my sister for being there for my family.  WE finally have the relationship I would love to brag about to others about how we have this great sisterly bond.

I love my sister.  Thank you Michelle.

I told my sister about my premonitions and she believed me. This is why I want to impart on all of you, especially in matters of health – If you SENSE something, SAY something.
